NOTE: Under 18 year olds must come with mum or a woman guardian. If this isn’t possible please get in touch to discuss.
On the Day
The Art Project starts at 10.00am with a Welcome from the ‘I Am Woman’ Project Founder -Visionary Artist Lisa Lochhead.
From there everyone will lay on a large sheet of paper and we outline the shape of the body on the paper. Then you work with felt tips, paints, collaging anything goes in expressing how you feel about each area of your body as you work around the areas of your body. As you do this the creative process unfolds and a dialogue between you, your artwork and your intuitive nature unfolds and reveals the beauty of accepting and loving your body. Each finished piece will be utterly unique and full of meaning to each girl/woman.
This art session will take place over one full day.
To keep the costs as low as possible to participate we supply some materials and others you will need to bring with you.

Benefits
This art project is a way of supporting girls, mums with girls and women of all ages in the community in a creative, fun and life enhancing way. We are creating a safe space, a sacred space of connection, support and sisterhood in the community on very real social issues women are facing today.
Whitchurch is the flagship for the project and we are hoping there is the chance to also nurture the power of creativity, community and a wider connection with other groups of girls, girls and mums and women in other towns.
Sponsorship
The aim is to also offer sponsorship places and art material kits for those that may need some financial support to be able take part. So we are also fundraising to create a Bursury Fund via our Donation button below. If you can help in anyway please do!
